Please rationally, non emotionally, explain why we can't critique this show. You keep using that tired argument "if you don't like it, don't watch it" but
1) 🤬 are clearly watching the show, so they clearly enjoy it. No one here has said they hate the show, so stop using hyperbole to further your point.
2) this thread had been here for years, and many of us grew up with DBZ so we know the ins and outs of the series, so consistently seeing inconsistencies that theyve had 20+ years to figure out is disappointing.
3) explain to me how your defense of everything isn't reminiscent of what Trump supporters, YMCMB Stans, etc do. -

Sheesh 🤬 , the 🤬 talking is on an episode by episode basis. And like you said, it's not that serious. A 🤬 can like the show but still admit its fault. Hell most of us are serious about the writing being 🤬 , but it's being brought up in jest. Laugh with us 🤬 , damn.

I never made the claim that Goku could beat Cell or that he was more powerful than Cell, so I'm not sure what you posting a bunch of power levels that were even available to the characters means. Zamasu just flat out outclassed Goku solo. There was no "I can take Sensu Bean and get back out there." He believed their only way of winning was fusing with Vegeta. With Cell, Goku believed he could put up a fight, but that Gohan was the better option. Yes, we all know Goku couldn't have won. Why not? Because even if he managed to somehow take out Perfect Cell, if he didn't completely annihilate Cell, he would have to deal with Super Perfect Cell and that would be too much. But Goku didn't know that at the time just like Goku didn't know that Cell's power level was 500 million points higher than his. -

Not sure which anime you were watching but Goku couldn't even beat a Cell Jr. It wouldn't have gone either way, Cell was far more powerful than Goku, they needed an SSJ2 to defeat him. Goku bet it all on his son.
He was weakened at that point. Remember, he didn't take a sensu bean after his skirmish with Cell. How could you possibly believe that Goku was weaker than a Cell Jr. when we saw Goku get the better of Cell. Cell was not stronger or a better fighter than Goku. He was just able to regenerate.

^^^ clearly states that Cell is stronger than him and that Gohan is much stronger than he is and more worthy to fight Cell.
If Goku was stronger than Cell he would have beaten him himself SMMFH. There wouldn't have been a point to send Gohan because Goku would have just eaten the senzu bean instead of giving it to Cell. Which tells me he knew it wouldn't have made a difference if he did because Cell was stronger.
So Goku lost to Vegeta pre Oozaru right? And Goku didn't beat Freiza did he? Because both of them were stronger than Goku initially during their fights. Goku at some point overcame those power barriers. Ya'll 🤬 acting like you don't understand how Shonen anime works. The hero almost always looks weaker at the outside of the fight, but still pulls out the win due to the standard plot devices.

Goku clearly still though he could compete. With Zamasu, he flat out said he couldn't. -
