Microsoft "Retiring" Facebook and Twitter Xbox Apps

The Facebook and Twitter applications will be removed from Xbox 360 when users apply the mandatory Dashboard update. Speaking to IGN, a Microsoft representative said "we're retiring the Facebook and Twitter apps" in an effort to "streamline" app functionality on 360.

So what's this mean for you? If you need your Tweets and Facebook status updates on your console, Microsoft recommends using Internet Explorer 9, its web browser packaged as part of the Fall Update.

IGN asked if the Facebook and Twitter applications will ever return to Xbox 360, to which Microsoft provided no comment.

both them 🤬 was useless as 🤬 anyway since you couldn't multitask with em anyway.

If you could have tweeted or facebooked something and then picked up playing a game it would of been cool, but what was the point of those programs when everybody and literally they mama got a phone next to em that can do this 🤬 anyway?

Nah. I just haven't had time. I'm hoping I can get some Black Ops 2 game time in though.

Speaking of Vita, if you have FIFA on Vita and I have it on PS3, we can play each other, right?
