First time I had him over and cooked up a storm.....
Garlic and herb crusted salmon, Pan seared tilapia, rice and peas, baked Mac and cheese, corn soufflé, tostones (fried green plantain), corn on the cob and salad with avocado.
My rice n peas, baked mac and cheese along with the fish are the best from what im told as well as taste.
His mother is a born and raised in the west indies old school woman so when he compared my rice and peas to his mothers and said it was just as perfectly seasoned, cooked up And put my cooking up there on the pedestal with his mamas cooking I shed little tears of joy inside. Biggest compliment that can ever be Paid to someones culinary skills. Lol -
nothing like a woman who knows her way around tha kitchen!..nice touch wit tha beer too!

I inquired and learned that salmon was his fav fish and I usually find out your fav beer ahead of time and while in this one case Corona wasnt, it was more than appreciated. Watching my man take his time savouring each bite was like foreplay, the pleasure of him eating food I cooked is all mine. -

To keep it completely 100 it tastes like that of a straight out the south grandmamas cooking. You know that bomb made from scratch baked Mac and cheese that comes out the oven all cheesy with a slight golden browning on top which just hits the spot. *homer Simpson drool* -

Often. Everyday except for when we happen to get home late or something comes up and we have to do take out which is okay every once in a blue but I can't do too much of it, I won't allow it!
Filling your loved ones bellies with home cooking>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
It's important, it is essential. -
So you whining in one thread and clowning in another? I see. -
ANYWAYS, I'm the best at anything involving cheese, from scrambled eggs to mac n cheese or twiced baked potatoes.
I do my best work baking though..I like to bake goodies.
Coconut Cream pie is probably my fave. -

DEAD! dont know why this made me laugh.

lol..I've heard people say that, sounded appropriate..cause you can't just sit down and eat 4 or 5 at a time like you might with a regular chocolate chip cookie.
Anywho, peace offering @AP12
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour 2/3 cup cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the butter mixture until well blended. Mix in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or just until set. Cool slightly on the cookie sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely
Now it calls for 2 cups of chocolate chips but I did one cup milk and one cup white chocolate instead...really good. -
My overall fav dish is lemon pepper and rosemary roasted chicken with baked fingerling potatos. Pair that with roasted asparagus.
My man's fav dish I cook is a grilled ribeye , loaded baked potato and grilled corn on the cob
Best dessert is a tie between chocolate chip cookies or strawberry shortcake with homemade whip cream -
Oh and no nuts in mine..disgust.

I thought about what Cain said and never in my mashed taters now when I roast a whole chicken ....I line those little potatos all around it in the pan...something about the rosemary and lemon pepper combined...sets them off.
