I'm always dreaming about some monsters or something, but that's besides the point, I'm ain't trying to talking about that.
What I want to say is.
It'll be messed up if after death, and long after the universe has "ended".
by a fluke, after several centillions of years(I googled this) the 🤬 that made up your consciousness some how comes back together. Of course, you wouldn't be human, and you'll probably be half 🤬 . You would just be 'something' drifting in whatever world might exist then.
With nothing to entertain yourself with but your own scrambled thoughts, existing for perhaps only 1 second, or maybe over 100,000 years.
What I want to say is.

You deserve an abuse for mentioning tentacles.
Maybe nightmares was the wrong word for them, I actually enjoy them. Just a few days ago I was walking in a huge room that was completely dark, while periodically glimpsing grotesque monsters from a small light that seemed to come out of nowhere.
I then woke up briefly to hear the background of this playing. (accidentally turned my mp3 player on in my sleep, and I could hear the faint noise from the headphones)

When I went back to sleep, the dream continued. I was in another place with many grotesque creatures. Big Centipedes with giant human eyeballs, worms about the size of human babies with a human like head, and small arms.
Huge hulked out monsters with the faces of predator, and hands lined with razor sharp bone, etc. They were all feasting on decaying human body parts. As I looked down, I saw a pool of water below me, and upon further inspection this water was filled with decaying human organs, and other body parts.
Then an eye attached to a stalk came out of the water, and began to look a me. The head of the creature arose next, and it had a big mouth with clown like teeth. It began to laugh like "hugh hugh hugh hugh hugh!" Then it lunged at me and I woke up.
