The other day a friend and I were talking about The Matrix when they went on a rant about how it's great that Sophia Stewart got her money for writing that film and The Terminator...didn't believe it wasn't true until he realized he'd never actually seen or read anything proving it and a quick internet search disproves that she even had a legit case. Just an urban myth he'd heard from one person who heard it from somebody else. What are some other urban legends or myths you've seen people go hard defending only to find out they weren't true at all...with the internet there's been tones of stories floating around for years

church's chicken and those crown car airfresheners also shoney's restaurant was owned by the kkk. I had a friend who was always in and out of jail he told they had this juice that they serve at lunch similar to the jungle juice we used to buy at the ice cream truck as kids. it was called jim jones and he told me that it made 🤬 sterile. dude told me he used to drink the shower water for hydration so he wouldn't have to drink that stuff.

This man I use to work with was stating that KFC had headless "living" chickens due to the drugs and experiments. He was raving about it all damn day at work, we was just laughing so damn hard that day.
