Two Questions About Easter

1) Why doesn't Holy Week always coincide with Passover? We know from the Gospels that Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday all took place during the Passover festival. That means probably at one of the councils The Church changed it and I didn't get an answer to that question.

2) I've been wondering this for a longest time, if Jesus was crucified on a Friday, and The Resurrection took place on a Sunday, that's only two days. Where is this third day coming from?

That's a good question. I read something about the world switching over calendars at one point in history after the death of Jesus so maybe that has something to do with it. Also, just a FYI jesus was never crucified. That form of torture did not existed during his life time.
