I would appreciate anyone to take the time out of their day and give simple explanations to common lingo in the investment world. Stocks, mutual funds, bonds, compound interest, etc. What is a good amount to have when considering investing? Any books or websites you can recommend to gain knowledge? I understand that these potential profits don't happen overnight.
I'm a 23 year-old exploring some options for additional income. If anyone can also shed some light on different Savings accounts that gain interest, etc.

I've read that actually 3 months before I started my bank teller job and learned the three ingredients to building wealth. That was back in 2006 I believe.
