My best friend is a makeup artist and she works the Mac counter downtown.

I get great deals on my lipstick, but other than that I'm not a big makeup fan.

I have foundation from queen latifahs cover girl collection but I haven't used it yet.

Lip gloss and lipstick is the only thing I wear daily

Don't use cover girl queen Latinas foundation because there's too much oils in the product. Very bad for the health of your skin.

You could use my favorite :

    cover fx
    Nars
    Bobbie brown

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Also if anyone has tips on wearing eye makeup that would be cool.

I wear glasses so I never even consider doing eyes

    Yes, They work!!

I had tried the 100 dollars, the 20 dollars lash extensions, and when Pico did my lash extensions. They work with watery eyes and when you work out. The lengths and fullness is for you to decided. I usually go with medium length and natural fullness.

Awesome. What do you think of the individual ones that they apply lash by lash? My buddy has some mink ones & they look great. I have short puny lashes & I haven't found a mascara yet that does anything for them (open to suggestions though)

Those youtube videos are for the individual lash by lash.

there is a mascara called the magnetic mascara that I would love to try. This mascara bring "puny" lashes to big and full lashes.

here's the link and they deliver in the US: http://www.lookfantastic.com/santhilea-magnetic-lash-mascara/10790692.html

here's the review of the magnetic mascara:

I'm 4 days away from my nappiversary & I can claim full bra strap length hair. The hair reaches the bottom of the clasp on all of my bras.

I started out with APL color/heat damaged, stringy, see through ends texturized 3c/4a hair. I chopped the color damaged part in April & that left me 1 inch past shoulder length. I retained about 7 in of new growth all over.

After fully assessing the heat damage left on my remaining hair, I decided that little to no heat was the way to go. I straightened my hair 3 times this yr, and the first two times was on low heat. This last time, I was looking for a silk press so I rollersetted first & then went over my 🤬 roots w/ my flat iron at 395 F. My ends were pretty straight from the rollers, I only used the flat iron on them to iron out any dents left from the roller. It is silky, bouncy, and sickeninnnnng! However it won't last long, I need to get back in the gym & sweat asap.

@evilchuck if long term transitioning is the way you wanna go, don't give up! I'm at BSL and my goal is to reacg waist or hip length & maintain it with 1 inch trims every few mos until all of the texturizer is gone.

    @evilchuck a few tips...

    1. Realize that you are NOT natural. Even after your hair grows to a point that you have more napps than damaged hair left, you aren't natural. I'm not trying to sound like a 🤬 but its important to to remember that because you can get caught up in trying to recreate natural styles that your relaxed hair aint here for! Twistouts/braidouts were the ones for me...my roots would be fluffy, defined & perfect and my texturized ends were stringy, greasy & weird looking.
In addition, Theres plenty of products that your relaxed hair won't like & vice versa. I notice that my texturized hair likes cones. My natural hair doesn't. My natural hair likes all natural products like shea moisture deep condish. My relaxed hair hates it. So I found a happy medium that both textures can agree upon: water soluble cones & coconut oil. Perfection!

    2. Find a go to style asap. And make sure its a look you dont mind rocking like every day. For me its the top knot. I keep my hair stretched in 4 plaits at night so that my bun is bigger in the AM. Before that it was the southern tuck but my roots got too big for all those pins.

    3. Develop a healthy relationship with heat. I'm not saying start flat ironing daily like you used to, but if your hair is relatively healthy, don't toss your flat iron just yet. Heat can be used safely! I was so afraid of damaging my hair further that I hid my iron from myself. It wasn't until two days ago that I found it after 7 mos of being in a top bun, lol. Just realize that you are transitioning & one of the benefits is being able to straighten your hair more quickly. Nothing is wrong w/ using heat sparingly & correctly.
