Super Bowl ad by Cheerios causing stir, comments pulled from YouTube
Cheerios is making waves with its first ever Super Bowl ad.
General Mills, which owns the cereal brand, got a lot of racial backlash for portraying an interracial family in the commercial at the bottom of this page.
“Cheerios is about families and love and connections — and breakfast,” said Camille Gibson, vice president of marketing for Big G cereals. “Our new Cheerios ad celebrates one of those special moments with a family that America fell in love with."
The Internet’s collective response prompted comments to be deactivated on the YouTube video.

I'd like to give Cheerios it's kudos but I think they know that the controvery sells more than any actual desire to applaud diversity.

Same reason its cheaper to fly on a Wednesday Lol Discounted rates.
They pay less than half of what eveybody else pay for, yet get the most exposure.
Between this and KG'S 'honey nut cheerios' comment, Cheerios is winning. -

It has to be. SB ads are expensive af b/c everybody is watching. But thats just for that day. Theres no difference in week before SB and just any other ad price i would think
