Big LVoted for Big L. I wasn't feeling his first LP but I have another compilation by him called Harlem's Finest and its a compilation of nothing but freestyles. Pure heat.
Don't get me wrong Big Pun was nice but he was kinda one dimensional. And I think Big L had more material.

^^^^This is the album I'm referring to. It came out in 2006. There's no remixes on here, its all freestyles. I have it on vinyl and the tracklisting is a little different. -

I wasn't feeling Big L's 1st album either. Honestly, he's more of a freestyle/mixtape MC. But when he has a tight beat behind him he can spit 16 with the best of them. You saw how he held up against Jay Z in that Stretch Armstrong freestyle. And he never gets outshined in any of those D.I.T.C. tracks

i honestly think it's difficult for anyone to name any dozen albums with better pure lyricism than Capital Punishment. Beginning to end, Pun was spitting pure heat. -
Both them 🤬 crazy over rated. Capital Punishment is better than L's work, but Ebonics is such a dope track
