Since the dumb 🤬 🤬 Azaelia Banks attempted to call the brother Kendrick out on his comments in Billboard magazine, (and the 🤬 happened to ya boy on another message board,) it seems to be this school of thought among those that ole Rex has dubbed, the "🤬 enablers," that you can't bring attention to or better yet chastise 🤬 for their bad or deleterious behavior. Also it seems to me, that the silly 🤬 Azealia completely and totally took what Kendrick said out of context, (something these ole 🤬 bitchs tend to do when they call themselves trying to think and articulate a point,) here's what Kendrick said,

Michael Brown should never have been killed, but he went on to say "but when we don't have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within. Don't start with just a rally, don't start from looting—it starts from within."

Then the ole 🤬 🤬 Azaelia Banks went completely off topic with talk about the "dumbest 🤬 she ever heard a black man say. Racism, generational poverty, and making comments to a mainly white publication. Guess what you stupid hoe 🤬 🤬 🤬 , if you're issue was the white media using this as wedge to further divide black people, then your 🤬 comments did more to divide black people and was more "coontastic," than what Kendrick said.

The fact of the matter is what Kendrick said was hundred per cent correct. For example, take the way the brothers in the Nation of Islam dress. They were suits for a reason and that reason is to present of image of a man who not is not only worthy but demands respect, so your perception of them, how you approach, and how you talk to them maybe a little different than how you would a cat in regular street clothes.

We as black people have little to no respect for ourselves and this is reflected in damn near everything we do. How we dress, how we speak, the 🤬 we eat, how we regard education, the apathetic attitude that we have towards the electoral progress, and how we have this wanton willingness to have kids with any and everybody. It sends other people the message that if they don't give a 🤬 about themselves, them why sound I? Kinda like when you see a dope fiend begging for change and 🤬 and you look upon them with complete and utter disdain.

What K Dot was saying wasn't about appeasing or winning the approval of white people, and quite frankly 🤬 white people and what they think and what they feel. "A cracca ass cracca gon be a cracca ass cracca. This is about us and improving or self-perception of ourselves and wanting more for ourselves. The minute we stop with the fuckery, carry ourselves as a people who demand respect, then when these white supremacist muthafuckas get beside themselves, we're going to hold them accountable for the 🤬 that they do to us.

It beings with holding ourselves accountable for the fuckery we engage in. Remember those stories your parents or grandparents used to tell you about if they got in trouble they got whooppin's from the teacher, the neighbor, the auntie, the uncle, and both of their parents. Then there was a level of accountability where as now there's none.

We need to make sure our kids our being taught, disciplined is being instilled, and politicians meet our needs, and if people from another community want to disrespect, harass, brutalize, or murder us, then there needs to be a consequence to that action. However, we can even begin to demand of others, what we don't even demand of ourselves, and that's what the ole 🤬 🤬 Azaelia Banks and other 🤬 enablers don't want to accept, let alone understand.

Great thread. I said something similar in a thread a few weeks ago. It has gotten to a point where anybody that says something you don't agree with is labeled a 🤬 . In '15 it's a cheap way to rile dumb n*ggas who can't think for themselves up against some black person in the public eye. Calling blacks with a differentn opinion 🤬 is also some crab in the barrel sh*t in alot of cases.
Notice how the '🤬 ' are in alot of cases black men who are in the public eye and seem ton be doing well for themselves. They're 'winning', getting a paycheck from these white folks. Some of them might say stuff to ingratiate themselves to the people who cut their checks, but since this is a democracy they're entitled to their opinion. Notice how the people who label other blacks 🤬 are often not in the financial position to help themself let alone anyone else, do nothing for blacks other than talk sh*t and rarely disprove what the so called 🤬 say without resorting to namecalling and smearing.
Ask these people who call others 🤬 what they do for black people and they'll change the subject lol...

Black people love to oversaturate words and catch phrases. N*ggas do it to the point the word loses the original meaning and value. Keep it real, hater, snitchin', boss (b*tch), strong indepedant black woman, swag, now it's 🤬 .

Dumb thread. What YOU & 🤬 like Kendrick fail to comprehend is these ppl HATE our very existence. They've murdered, 🤬 & enslaved our ancestors, they've held us back from quality education, they've denied our right to vote, they've denied us of our TRUE history. They even MURDERED our greatest leaders. Do you REALLY think if we respected ourselves better Darren Wilson or G.Zimmerman wouldve been convicted of murder? Do you believe if we loved ourselves more they'd stop attacking the President's teenage daughters?

🤬 you & Kendrick for not calling these crackers out for they HATRED of our ppl. It's BLATANT at this point. Yes we have work to do internally. But that is a TOTALLY difference conversation my 🤬

I don't get how saying Black people need to do this or that stops a Cop from shooting us down. Thinking that, if we only did all of these wonderful things to appease whites would stop police brutality is a flat out fallacy. Whites been kicking our 🤬 since the first slave ship pulled into the docks.

Define calling out. Kendrick is cool but @ the end of the day he's an entertainer. He's never gonna say too much to offend his costumer base. All these black entertainers are compromised to a certain extent. Stop expecting entertainers to stick their neck out cuz it ain't gonna happen. This ain't the early 90's and even then that black medallion sh*t was a fad for the most part. That's why it faded once Chronic dropped. lol @ Dre rapping "no medallions, dreadlocks or black fist..."

Your situation will change for the better once brothers understand the importance of circulating money in their community like any other group does. Core family values need to be (re)installed as well. You got no real community. Just single mothers with their 🤬 . Hate to say it but for the most part you're being led by irresponsible, selfish and selfloathing women.

Family this type of thinking is short sighted. Whites have terrorized Blacks who have done this in their communities. It is well documented in Black American history by the way. What you are suggested doesn't change one's skin color, and ethnicity. Most importantly it doesn't remove, cure or curb the hate, and position of whites in America.

I think you're referring to situations like Rosewood, Black Wall Street etc. and gthe countless lynchings that went unpunished.
What's the alternative? Nobody feels sorry for black people. We don't get the synpathy other minorities like Jews get. Eventhough it's bad what happened why not keep striving to establish the things I mentioned? Blaming what whites did and are doing to your people isn't going to make anything better.b
Blacks ain't the only group that been treated bad by these Europeans. Jews in central and Eastern Europe had to deal with pogroms - similar to lynchings in the US. The law in most European countries restricted them from doing certain professions. They weren't allowed to own land. If they had been stuck on complaining what Europeans did to 'em their fate would've been similar to that of Gypsies in Eastern Europe.

The thread starter and K. Dot fail to see the complete picture or have fallen victim to mass media portrayals of African Americans. The education system in every inner city is horrible. The job prospects for inner city individuals is dismal. The black father has essentially been removed from the black family through petty drug offenses which, given the dismal job prospects, sometimes becomes a necessity. For Kendrick Lamar, an individual that grew up in Compton, to say that what we need is respect to solve the ills of Black communities is ignorant and extremely short sighted. Respect is sadly on the bottom of the totem pole in terms of importance when your lights are off, rent is due, and you have a baby crying from hunger.

This is the same argument many conservatives take when speaking on "socialist" programs that benefit the poor/working poor. "Well if you respect yourself a little more, pull your pants up, and stop wearing hoodies your situation would be different". That does 🤬 for how we're perceived by Whites and others in their discriminatory practices. The best solution to our problems is an emphasis on education, responsible procreation, and establishing legacies that give back to the Black community. That whole "it takes a village" saying is real. We need to feed, protect and educate us and stop looking for Whites to do 🤬 . We also need to stop 🤬 white 🤬 but that's another thread altogether...

Your suggestion is a solution, but a temporary solution IMO. I think a lot of us forget to what extent white people are willing to go to stay on top. You guys will eventually see with each wake up call, and then you'll finally be on board when you witness it with your own eyes.

If we start working towards your goal of creating a black community based on economics, the government will put a stop to it through propaganda and the "legal system".

A permanent solution is creating a base foundation and moving that foundation to an area where we are no longer the minority race. Certain countries in Africa are perfect for this, but a lot us are scared of the unknown of leaving America which is instilled in us through the news and other outlets.

But by all means, we won't know until we try, so let's build a little Africa in the US, if it gets burned down or stopped, maybe more people will understand what needs to be done. If they let us cook, then we can emulate that same structure throughout the country.

Well the thought behind it is that the cops think we are animals. There is no way we can change those opinions if we're acting like animals.

That thought process would be logical if the majority of us acted like that. That's the problem with white people is that they don't see the average black person. They are programmed to see only the worst of us, and by default think that applies to all of us. Black people shouldn't have to dress in suits to be seen as human beings. The idea that we should make all these crazy changes to the way we behave just to be treated in a civil manner is ridiculous.

honestly, the biggest problem here is people listening to Azaelia Banks for any reason, at any time.
let's be honest: does the woman having constant fights with anyone breathing on Twitter have the right to 🤬 about "the white media using this as wedge to further divide black people." LITERALLY DOING THE THING YOU'RE COMPLAINING ABOUT KENDRICK LAMAR DOING.
For Kendrick Lamar, an individual that grew up in Compton, to say that what we need is respect to solve the ills of Black communities is ignorant and extremely short sighted.
oddly enough, i am pretty sure that was not actually the sum total of what Kendrick Lamar said.

but i think the point is actually this: is Lamar automatically earning the label "🤬 " because you disagree with him? because if nothing else, that 🤬 's not constructive.

Man gtfoh with this 1960's way of thinking. White folks have spent years makin sure these "values" aren't ever installed in the black community. If we all came together tomorrow and united, cops would STILL murder unarmed black men, we'd still have unfair drug laws & there would still be 🤬 being profiled. The problem is NOT us. It is THEM. In the last 20 years in particular, the FBI reports, rates of crime among African American youth have plummeted: All offenses (down 47%), drug offenses (down 50%), property offenses (down 51%), serious Part I offenses (down 53%), assault (down 59%), robbery (down 60%), all violent offenses (down 60%), 🤬 (down 66%), and murder (down 82%).

Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey all stated that we as blacks need to better ourselves. They meant being independent from the white devil who deapuse you. Depending on the white man who hates you ie welfare will just destroy us. But at the same time they also spoke of the injustice that we blacks have suffered. Now the reason why people have a problem with K dot is the fact when ever something like Ferguson,Eric Garner,Tamar Rice etc is that the media automatically talk about black on black, single moms, teen preganancy etc

Remember they bring these things up to move away from the real issue of the war on drugs, police brutality, racism in the justice system etc. But they never bring up white divorce rates, white teen pregnancy rates, drug use among college whites etc. They are trying to make it look like blacks are criminals, thugs, lazy, sexually irresponsible, terrible parents. That is not to say we have our problems. We do and i am for fixing it by following the ideas of marcus garvey and malcolm x. But to bring up these problems when there is obvious racial injustice is just a defelction tactic. What does black on black crime have to do with a black man being chocked out.

I am not mad at K Dot because he cant go full militant since it will hurt his income.

    C/S

These arguments like K dot's and Pharrell's really only boil down to deflection and praying outsiders somehow take the kindness out of their hearts too see us as equals. Loving ones self isn't going to stop a man from killing you; won't stop economic disparity; and it won't even stop oppression as crazy as that sounds. I honestly dislike the fact so many blacks in the view of the dominant society use their position to then distance themselves from the community by regurgitating shallow tongue lashings but whatever I grew out of caring about what a lot of musicians say ever since Dave Chappelle's "What about Ja Rule, what did Ja say" skit.

Why can't people speak affecting our society from multiple angles without people noting what's unimportant. It's all important to a degree. People are called 🤬 when all they do is suck on the white man while generally admonishing the black community. It's problematic to bring up skewed racially motivated statistics to throw shade on our people when we are trying to seek justice and protect our interest in our own creations. It also does a disservice to people who are trying to clean up the community. Those efforts were already looked down upon openly by white society when Obama was admonished for being a "community Organizer". We can deal with multiple angles at one.

Jesse Jackson had no issues marching and Ferguson, and trying to procure technology jobs for our people. How can you even compare black on black crime with the duties of a law enforcement officer employed by the state? They are held to completely different standards or one. Secondly, blacks normally get prosecuted for their crimes and if you want to bring up snitching. Most people do snitch and it's another wack talking point that holds no merit. So crime may exist, but it's dealt with unlike shady "police actions". Speaking on a white person from a country as steeped in racism as it is here doing blackface and saying racist 🤬 will not detract from other issues at all. It's actually part of the grander issue of the systemic racism that exist in this world.
