Last week, trade site MCV reported that the PlayStation 4 would make an appearance at this year's E3 in Los Angeles. Sony begs to differ.
Both Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Corp. have come out in denial of the report, with SCE's Andrew House telling CVG "I don't think we're contemplating talking about anything to do with future console iterations at this point."

Sony's Kaz Hirai, meanwhile, said the same thing. "Andy (House) is absolutely right in that we are not making any announcements at E3. I've always said a 10-year life cycle for PS3, and there is no reason to go away from that."

Nintendo's Wii U will obviously be at the June expo, and it's becoming increasingly expected that Microsoft's follow-up to the Xbox 360 will be first revealed there as well. A PS4 presence would have made it one hell of a show, but, well, 🤬 .

    Sonys not gonna have the "ready for stores PS4", but they'll have a PS4 prototype that "needs work".

    I don't think Sony can afford this. They've already lost this gen. The Wii U was shown last year, and drops this year. Its very likely M$ could show the NeXtbox at this E3 this year, meaning it will drop in 2013. That means at the earliest, Sony would show the PS4 at E3 next year and not drop until 2014...giving the competition another headstart. Sony was dominant going into the PS3 and still managed to come out last. They would be destroyed if they wait this time considering the position they are already in right now.

    Why do you care so much abut Sony focus? LOL @ not being able to afford it when the PS3 has been turning a major profit.Sony is still a billionaire company 🤬 .Anyway the PS3 is over 60 mil so what did they lol? N64 and GameCube did not sell 60 mil or even touch 40 lol.Why are you so upset that Sony is not going away? Go play Zelda or something.
