Unless @smokelahoma is Kurt Sutter he needs to shut the 🤬 up. The way the pope 🤬 played out was wack. No questions ask. How the 🤬 you going be the biggest, baddest and most dangerous gangster in a city and get caught slipping so easily? This 🤬 had his number 2 with him every othertime except when it mattered. And who in their right mind would believe that clay was the one to 🤬 pope?

So right there I'm making it clear that my feelings about Pope's end didn't override my love for the show. You're the one coming out of nowhere making it seem like I hate the whole show and everything about it because of what happened to Pope.
Look man, the point is not everyone's going to like everything that happens in a show, and not everything in a great show will be executed with greatness. Me saying I don't like something or think something was done poorly with SoA is not a knock on SoA. It's a knock on that one particular part of SoA, and it doesn't warrant all this flack you throwing my way.
Also, I don't remember our Pope/Opie convo the way you do. Obviously, what was said struck a much larger chord in your heart than it did mine. All I can say is that I do believe the Opie death was done better and fit the storyline better. I liked his character too, but with where is character was, it made sense for him to die and the way he died (sacrificing himself for his brothers) was well within his character. Now it may have made sense for Pope to die too. After all, having a figure like that hanging over the club's head would have been a distraction. However, unlike with Opie, they basically ignored a lot of the characterization they had constructed with Pope just to get him out of there. I felt that was weak. Again, I don't hate the show because of it, but I do think they could have done it better. Exactly, and let's not forget the fact that Pope had someone guarding the entrance, but if I'm not mistaken the guard had his back to the entrance he was guarding. How much sense does that make? It was just bad execution plain and simple, and the fact that it stands out so strongly as bad execution is really a testament to how good everything else has been with the show. -
The fact that it was "done badly" might be a plot point for this next season though...

2nd, I hear you Monk. we just gotta agree to disagree. I will give you that some collusion between August and Jax wouldve made alot of sense but IMO so did the actual way it played out. have you watched it again since it was on tv? maybe you will see it differently the 2nd time around. either way its whatever, you got your opinion I got mine. aint no reason to get bent outta shape and start talkin outta ya ass tho.
