Ole 🤬 barely has enough players to field a defense.
Defensive end Robert Nkemdiche (hamstring), linebacker Serderius Bryant (concussion), running back Jeff Scott (thigh bruise), defensive end/special teams ace Temario Strong (neck), cornerback Mike Hilton (hamstring), quarterback Barry Brunetti (shoulder), safety Chief Brown (ankle) and defensive tackle Issac Gross (shoulder) all had to leave during the loss to the Aggies.
If LSU sleeps on them, Ole Miss can still make them pay. -

Anyway....since Texas is off this week I might go see my alma mater University of Houston play BYU at Reliant this weekend. They have a chance to go 6-0. Here's to hoping they play better than we did lol.

Georgia suspended director of on-campus football recruiting Daryl Jones for five days because of a number of recruiting violations the university reported to the SEC.
Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity discovered that non-coaching staff members mailed letters to juniors two days prior to the Sept. 1 date when the recruits are permitted to receive mailings.
At least a dozen recruits received mail prior to the permitted date.
Dude lost five days of pay for that! -

playoff format
Bowl selections
The four-team bracket will pit the No. 1-ranked team against No. 4 and No. 2 vs. No. 3. The selection committee will seed the two semifinal games to prevent the top two seeds from playing in a "road" environment. There will be no limits on the number of teams per conference, in a change from previous BCS rules.[3] Bowl selections will not be determined by conference "automatic qualifier" berths, as used in the BCS, though there will be conference tie-ins for certain non-semifinal bowl games along with an annual guaranteed spot for a mid-major representative.[6]
In years when the bowls are not part of the playoff bracket, the highest-ranked non-playoff teams from the following conferences or groups will be selected as follows:[21]
Rose Bowl — Big Ten #1 vs. Pac-12 #1
Sugar Bowl — SEC #1 vs. Big 12 #1
Orange Bowl — ACC #1 vs. SEC #2, Big Ten #2, or Notre Dame
Cotton Bowl — at-large or "Group of Five"
Fiesta Bowl — at-large or "Group of Five"
Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl — at-large or "Group of Five"
Additional selection criteria
The highest-ranked champion from the so-called "Group of Five" mid-major conferences (American Athletic Conference, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West, and Sun Belt) is guaranteed a berth if the group's top team is not in the playoff.[21]
The remaining five at-large bids will be determined by committee rankings.[21]
If the Big Ten or SEC champion is available for a non-playoff bowl in a year when the Rose and Sugar Bowls are hosting semifinals, that team will appear in either the Cotton, Fiesta, or Peach bowls, but not the Orange Bowl.[21]
In the Orange Bowl, the SEC and Big Ten are guaranteed at least three appearances during the eight non-playoff years, while Notre Dame can only appear a maximum of twice.[22]
In non-playoff years, if the Orange Bowl matchup creates a regular-season rematch for the ACC representative, the bowl may choose to "skip over" the prescribed opponent from the SEC/Big Ten/Notre Dame group and select the next highest-ranked team from the group. The team that was rejected would be placed in one of the three at-large bowls, if it meets ranking standards.[23] -
The year is really up in the air for us right now. SEC is still up for grabs, but it could get ugly for us as well.

.Oklahoma sophomore wide receiver Trey Metoyer is no longer with the football team for disciplinary reasons. While most players typically get the boot from their teams for drug-related violations or not doing well in class, Metoyer’s story is a bit more disturbing.
According to SoonerScoop.com, Metoyer has been charged with two felony counts of indecent exposure. Metoyer initially denied the allegations against him, but later admitted that both incidents did in fact take place. The first was on Aug. 29. Here is the victim’s description from a probable cause affidavit obtained by SoonerScoop.com.
“The victim advised she was on a balcony smoking a cigarette when she observed the black male driving through the parking lot ? in a red Grand Am. The black male backed up and pulled into a parking spot. The victim noticed a short time later that the black male had his (🤬 ) exposed while sitting in the car (performing a lewd act).”
The second incident was similar in nature. This time, on Sept. 17, the victim claimed Metoyer approached her and asked if he could borrow a pen.
“It was learned that the victim was walking her dog when she was approached by a black male who asked her if he could borrow a pen,” the affidavit of the Sept. 17 incident stated. “The victim went into her apartment to get an ink pen and when she came back outside, the black male was (performing a lewd act) in front of her apartment. The black male then asked the victim if she would want the pen back.”
Metoyer was identified by the victim of the Sept. 17 incident earlier this month in a six-person photo lineup. Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops addressed Metoyer’s standing (or lack thereof) with the team on Tuesday night.
“Trey has not been with us since prior to the TCU game and at this time I do not anticipate that he will return to the team in the future,” Stoops said.
This dude obviously has a problem. Getting arrested for indecent exposure because you refuse to pull up your baggy pants is one thing. What Metoyer did is sexual harassment by any interpretation of the term
