Not really a battling thread. This is just for comparison in case there is someone out there debating which to get. I found a couple sets of good unbiased reviews that seem like they really capture the plusses and minuses of each system Also, if people want to debate which is better, they can do so here rather than clogging up the other topics with that kinda thing.

Maybe. Seems like most of the reviews are saying the same thing about both systems. Both of them have their good points and look like they'll do what they are intended to do very well, but both also have a ways to go before they are actually there. In other words, there's no reason to be pressed to snatch either system up at launch.

Yeah. It's kinda weird how quickly they rushed the systems out after they were revealed. Think about how much time passes after a video game is revealed and when it is released. You would think a console would take even longer. Not to mention that you still have a number of good game options on current gen systems. There was no reason to rush. The systems could have come out next year and both would have all the kinks worked out and much stronger launch catalogs.Which thread in Arcade isn't an XB1 vs PS4 thread?

Interesting, given the similar CPUs the fact that the PS4 halves the XBO sunspider time,and absolutely kills it in Kraken (watch the decimal place, that's throwing everyone off). Also since IE11 is actually a great javascript performer (seriously, test it before the herp derp IE comments).
PS4 also halves the Wii U Sunspider time.

What is PS4's "standby" start up time? I don't know if it has a standby mode or why it wasn't included in the video? Or, maybe that was the PS4 standby start up time, 29 seconds?

I'm sure the PS4 will get plenty of good games, but I hope they continue to develop for the system itself. To be honest, they could stand to borrow some ideas from M$. The good thing for them is that a lot of the competitions strengths are software related, so that means they can be replicated.
