They both stupid talented writers/producers. Instead going the Dallas Austin route, they tried they hand @ actual careers, which was a bad move imo
I would throw Ne-yo in the same mix but he's a far less talented writer/producer than the 3 aforementioned -

the dream is garbage as 🤬 at his job and all that it incompasses.
he got on thru family connects. his talent is non-existant.
ryan leslie's voice is leagues ahead of the dream..... and he doesn't force the people he works with to sing the songs he writes exactly as he would sing them.
something ne-yo and dream are notorious for, along with babyface, its a vanity thing more than anything.
