In 2 years KRIT has dropped something like 7 projects, I know I know sales dont matter but I want to see where the fans are at in 2014. It looks like KRIT worked much harder this time around to market to his core fanbase. J.Cole did that for 2 years and went gold, same with Kendrick, but they didn't drop 7 mixtapes/EPs and what will be 2 albums tho. I know IC gonna go into a frenzy especially if it's not up to "expectations" sales wise SMMFH -_-* . Personally sales in this day don't tell you anything or how successful an artist is. In 2014, how much Illmatic sold is irrelevant today - but the impact of the content very much is, hence why it's a classic. From the interviews I've seen, KRIT sounds like he wants to outlast everybody and when the smoke clears be hailed as one of the GOATs. The only artists I see today with that perspective is Jay-Z (yes Jay very much it's ingrained in his lyrics if you listen closely), Kanye West, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Big KRIT. Not saying KRIT and Lamar are in the same league as Jay & Yeezy but I think their drive is very similar. All Jay did was put out music for as long as possible and outlast all the so-called "hot rappers" that came and went.
KRIT's drive and the amount of music he's dropped is an embodiment of his namesake. Perhaps he too can outlast his competition. Time will tell tho. KRIT may very well be the chosen one. The only thing I'd recommend to him in the future is to reach out to other producers more like he did on this album, not just for commercial appeal but b/c they can help him strengthen his production skills & become a better artist. -

He's dropped like 5 or 6 mixtapes, EPs and an album. Again it dont matter to me what he sells, I'll buy it off iTunes anyways just off GP but I think it's interesting at the end of the day. I want to see KRIT win tho b/c in the longer term it will put to rest all the 🤬 about how "mixtapes" can't be classics. There's classic mixtapes man and some of em belong to KRIT.
